It's creatively refreshing and playing with pure portraiture is so much fun. This time it was photographing my friend Marian McLaughlin, folk singer-songwriter in Baltimore. She has a hauntingly beautiful voice and her lyrics touch on the environment, what it means to be a woman, a human, a living being, in this time and place.
